This is an amazing little coffeeshop with the perfect atmosphere. Everything you could want while sipping your cold brew. I had an enchanting barista, Jade who kept me entertained with her amazing stories and impeccable service. Can't wait to stop in again!

Drinks are amazing, always. The whole place has a great vibe, but I’ve gotta give a special shout-out to Kaitie — she’s hands-down my favorite barista. She’s got an awesome attitude, super friendly, and always makes the drink exactly right. Definitely one of my go-to spots in Battle Creek.

Early in the morning. I needed something healthy and comfortable to sit down to enjoy a good breakfast. Glad that I found this cafe. So many varieties of food items for a cafe. The MacBeth sandwich is pretty good. Good ingredients of eggs and greens and balsamic jam. Light yet have plenty of flavor from this combination. Parking is pretty easy early in the morning. Service is pretty quick maybe lunch time will have much more customers. Good coffee, good environment with all the art work and big glass window to look outside. Problem is that their wifi is not very fast, so uploading file was slow. Other than that everything was wonderful

This is a fantastic place with good food, coffee/tea, and cocktails. Business lunch? Perfect. Gal pal time? You bet. The only, and I mean only, consideration is that it can get loud inside. If you are hard of hearing, this might be something to think about. Otherwise, everything is 10/10. Affordable, lots of variety, and an inviting, quirky aesthetic.

We ordered breakfast bagel sandwiches which were very good. They toast the bagels and have a great selection of toppings. Lattes were served quickly & were delicious. We don’t live in the area but will recommend this eatery for anyone who lives here or is passing through.

I visit Battle Creek multiple times a year and every time Cafe Rica is my daily coffee spot. I love that they are active in their community, highlight local artists, and have always been so incredibly kind. Also - the coffee and food is wonderful!

Stopped in for a quick coffee, not from around the area and it was a awesome surprise to find fellow coffee lovers. Definitely recommend, and Amanda is the reason for the review. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and personable; plus she called out a knew the difference of how to make a traditional flat white. Keep it up y'all! Sister remarks best cold brew she has ever had! I grew up in Battle Creek, but hadn't been back in years until I had lunch with a friend who brought me to Cafe Rica. I got a breakfast quesadilla and the flavors were incredible! Also got a latte which was so smooth and delicious. This café is now firmly on my short list of places to revisit each time I come back.

Stopped by Café Rica while creating content for Gina’s Hidden Gems and this is such a cute coffee spot in Battle Creek. I only grabbed a latte this time, but it was really good, and the customer service was just as great. The whole place had a warm, welcoming feel that makes you want to sit and stay for a while. I also love that Café Rica is family-owned and has direct ties to Costa Rica. It just makes the experience feel even more special.
